Legal & Regulatory Framework

Terms & Conditions

Please review the operational terms, service boundaries, student responsibilities, and legal conditions governing our consultancy services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website (www.iecindia.org), scheduling a counselling appointment, submitting an online enquiry, or availing of admission assistance services from International Education Consultancy (IEC), you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all students, applicants, parents, guardians, and website visitors.

2. Scope of Consultancy Services

IEC operates as an authorized education consultancy facilitator. The primary scope of services provided includes:

  • Guiding candidates through selection criteria of recognized overseas medical universities.
  • Reviewing academic credentials, NEET score eligibility, and age compliance as per National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations.
  • Assisting with documentation attestation, apostille facilitation, and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) paperwork.
  • Liaising with university admissions departments to secure official Letters of Admission / Invitation.
  • Student visa filing support, pre-departure briefing, and coordinated on-ground airport reception.

3. Eligibility & Student Obligations

The applicant and their legal guardian certify that all information, academic transcripts, scorecards, certificates, and personal identity proofs submitted to IEC are authentic, genuine, and legally accurate.

  • NEET Qualification: Candidates applying for foreign MBBS / MD degrees must possess a valid NEET qualification scorecard in compliance with NMC Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) regulations.
  • Academic Percentage: The candidate must satisfy the minimum required percentage aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (50% for General Category, 40% for Reserved Categories) in their 10+2 examinations.
  • Document Falsification: Any submission of counterfeit or manipulated documents will result in immediate termination of services without refund, and IEC reserves the right to report such instances to relevant authorities.

4. Direct Tuition Fee Remittance Policy

IEC enforces a strict direct-payment framework. All academic tuition fees, university administrative charges, and official hostel fees must be remitted directly by the student/parent to the authorized bank account of the respective university via international bank wire transfer (SWIFT) or authorized institutional payment gateways. IEC will never demand custody or deposit of university tuition fees into personal or unverified accounts.

5. Visa Issuance & Sovereign Authority Disclaimers

While IEC offers comprehensive guidance regarding visa filing, document apostilles, and appointment scheduling, the granting or rejection of any student visa remains the sole and sovereign prerogative of the respective foreign embassy or consulate in India. IEC does not guarantee or warrant visa issuance and cannot be held liable for embassy processing delays, diplomatic policy shifts, or visa rejections resulting from external embassy decisions.

6. Service Fees, Cancellations & Refunds

All service agreements executed between the client and IEC outline agreed administrative processing fees:

  • Third-party disbursements (such as MEA apostille fees, notarization charges, translation fees, embassy visa fees, courier charges, and flight tickets) are strictly non-refundable once processed.
  • If a candidate withdraws their application after the official Letter of Invitation or admission certificate has been issued by the university, the administrative processing charges incurred up to that stage remain non-refundable.
  • Any claims for service fee refund must be submitted in writing and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis as per the signed service contract.

7. Limitation of Liability

IEC acts solely as a professional education facilitation advisor and shall not be held liable for university curricular modifications, sudden fee revisions enacted by foreign university administrations, airline schedule cancellations, border closures, geopolitical events, natural calamities, or changes in regulatory licensing policies by national medical councils (including the NMC or international equivalents).

8. Intellectual Property & Website Usage

All logos, visual branding, graphics, textual content, infographics, and code on this website are the intellectual property of International Education Consultancy. Unauthorized duplication, framing, scraping, or commercial reproduction of any material without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.

9. Governing Law & Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or related to IEC's services shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Guwahati, Assam, India.
