I am pleased to note that 'Independent Ethics Committee- India’ is launching its operation.

For any human experimentation being carried out in this country, it is imperative, that a mechanism for safeguarding patient interest is in place.

An Independent Ethics Committee like this, which complies with ICH-GCP standards, is certain to address such needs.

I welcome this initiative and wish all the success to this committee.
